Living in the neighbourhood of Dutch Dreams, it had to be place Number 1. When you get 20 feet away from the dessert (or hey, breakfast?) haven, you can smell nothing but sweet cones. The tastiest air!
The place is a little overwhelming to be honest, with figures and signs hanging from the ceiling, candy everywhere (they sell all those Oreo flavours you wish your grocery store did), photos on photos on the walls of family history and celebrities stopping by the shop. But it all just matches. And makes you want to bring out your phone and snap pictures, just like my friend Carly did.
Every other table had a family at it, kids with ice cream everywhere but their mouths. The staff were busy and nice too. The girl behind the counter warned me that that the black stuff in Tiger Tail was licorice and not chocolate!
Bear with me as I test out the format of these posts, but here's what I had:
Ice Cream: Tiger Tail
Cone: One dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles... called the Nadia? Note to self: remember these things.
Taste: Out of the park! And hey, better than Chapmans which is the only other Tiger Tail I've had I think.
Bonus(es): Whipped cream and fruit on top of each cone! And the non-edible ice cream cones on the building.
Have you been and was it awesome? I learned just last night that Dutch Dreams used to be right at Vaughan at St. Clair, and now it's hidden back a little. So worth the extra steps.
